DAY 1 KEYNOTE SPEAKER:
DR. DIANE HAMILTON
Harvard Business Review recently called “curiosity” the “Gold Rush” word of the moment. By cultivating curiosity, we can be more innovative, engaged, and productive – and so can our students. But our curiosity levels peak around the age of five and decline dramatically by the time we are adults. What happens to it? How do we get it back? How does curiosity relate to the Micro Mindset and our ability to empower students?
DAY 2 KEYNOTE SPEAKER:
DR. THOMAS ARMSTRONG
Each and every child is born into this world as a natural genius. Author Dr. Thomas Armstrong will describe the four qualities of genius in students and will explain how the development of the human brain provides a framework for understanding them. Tom will provide examples of how his "genius" approach to learning can enhance the MicroSociety model and extend students’ abilities to generate their own ideas, test them, and express them in practical ways that benefit the world around them.
Take a Look Inside MicroSociety!
Learn how MicroSociety works and how it commands student attention, drives engagement, and connects to classroom learning. MicroSociety allows every student to shine–and blows parents away when they see what their kids can do. Micro kids take charge and take responsibility for their own learning, and teachers are facilitators, not lecturers. MicroSociety is no game. It’s real-life learning.
