Dr. Nadira Jack
Administrator, Jersey City Global Charter School
Dr. Nadira Jack is a former elementary and middle school teacher specializing in literacy and social justice in Newark and Jersey City, New Jersey, and a professor of education at New Jersey City University, Seton Hall University and ACE University. At the age of 29, Nadira became the founding principal of Jersey City Global Charter School. Under her guidance and tenure, with the assistance of the JCGCS Board of Trustees and her mentor Samuel Howard, the school expanded its grade levels from K-5 to K-8 and became a beacon of hope for the Jersey City community. She has a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science & Criminal Justice from Saint Peter's University; a Master's Degree in Elementary Education and another in Educational Administration, both from NJCU; and a Doctoral Degree in K-12 leadership from Saint Peter's University. In 2020, she released her first book, The Pedagogy of Consciousness, and hosts the podcast Reconstruct Ed.
