Nina Tortorice

MicroSociety Coordinator, Penn Hills Charter School of Entrepreneurship

Nina graduated from West Virginia University with a Masters in Elementary Education specializing in early childhood education. In her first year as a teacher at Penn Hills Charter School of Entrepreneurship, she was recognized with a STAR teacher award and subsequently won the MicroSociety Teacher Facilitator George Award in 2019. Ms. Tortorice has taught in every primary grade and is skilled in the use of educational technology, entrepreneurial education, and using standards to plan and guide engaging instruction. After more than ten years at PHCSE and with three children of her own, Nina joined MSI part-time to work remotely. She has recently returned to PHCSE as its full-time MicroSociety Coordinator.
