Director of Youth Ministries and Community Programs, Kawaiaha'o Church

Kamahele is contracted as the Director of Youth Ministries and Community Programs at Kawaiahaʻo Church in Hawaii and mother of internationally recognized 13-year-old entrepreneur and activist Rylee Brooke Kamahele, who founded The Catalyst Club, an umbrella nonprofit organization that provides opportunities for youth to be catalysts for change around issues including plastic pollution and animal welfare. Rylee won first place in the 2020 International Young Eco-Hero Awards. After overcoming a hardship-filled childhood herself, Sasha found that her passion was in helping children recognize their potential, self-worth, and purpose. Through different organizations, various ministry work, and eventually through her daughterʻs organization and her current position at Kawaiahaʻo, she continues to work with and mentor youth from all walks of life in Hawaii.
