Professional Learning Specialist, Broome-Tioga Board of Cooperative Educational Services

Jaime Mendelis is a professional learning specialist at Broome-Tioga Board of Cooperative Educational Services (BOCES) who taught high school and middle school English for 19 years. She graduated in 1998 from Elmira College with a BA in Secondary Education and in 2003 from SUNY Cortland with an MsEd in Literacy. In 2010, she received her certification as a Literacy Coordinator and coach from Lesley University, and in 2017 joined Broome-Tioga BOCES. Mendelis believes deeply in the power of reading and writing to change lives both inward and outward, and shares this passion in her entrepreneurial endeavor, Inner Lit.
